Default Equipment Zoom-In View Window

Not done any suggestion lately, but this one is inspire from the latest weapon-design-contest. Is a minor visual suggestion, but one that I think would help the game...

Equipment Zoom-In View

Why do we work hard to collect those weapons/equipments? (weapon, staff, off-hand, shield, etc) Who does not drool over the godly weapon designs from the last contest? (well, beside that crayon-bird-dragon-thingie). We all like to hold those purrty purrty tools-of-destraction in our hand, but sometime they just seem so small. So why not give it a Zoom In View?

Thus the idea is have an option where it would open up a mini-window, with the weapon enlarged, and can be roated around, so player can take a closer look.

Implantation
I imagin shouldn't be that hard, as we already have something in the game already. When you apply the dye onto any equipment, a window will show up with the enlarged weapon in its own view box. The same could be reuse here.

For such interface, would do in several way. One is you have a Magnifying glass Icon on your inventory, and you can click on it, than click the item, and will give such view. Another way is use right click, and bring up a menu, with zoom in.

One very important part that note is that such function should also be included when you trade with other. (where they can take a closer look at your trade item) This is more as a way of show off (to your friend, or potential buyer), which would surely add more play to the game. (attract more player to play for better weapon)

Well, thats the suggestion... what you think?

That seems a nice idea in principle. But I think the minute you zoom-in, you would see a very ugly resolution scale. Take the picture that represents you in this forum as an example. If I try to enlarge it too much, or just a little, I would be seeing a lot of ugly pixels.

Your idea might require a whole workout from the design team to properly scale the resolution of every item that would be eligible to zoom-in on them.

However... since they're making a new game and all, it might be a suggestion to keep in mind for Guild Wars 2. It's often in the small details that really makes people appreciate a game.

You can zoom heroes in the Balthazar Priest unlocking panel.
You can zoom the character in the Dye preview panel.
Why not in the Inventory, Won't be hard at all.

Just allow you to use the middle mouse to do so like in those two.
